Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to lead road and highway design across major Queensland transport projects. Based in Gladstone or Mackay, you will guide design teams, deliver compliant solutions, and collaborate with engineers, managers and clients to overcome infrastructure challenges.

You will bring 10+ years in civil design, advanced 12d modelling, and strong stakeholder engagement. This role supports flexible working arrangements and a regional lifestyle in Queensland.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in civil design, with a strong focus on roads and highways.
• Advanced 12d modelling capability and proven experience delivering TMR projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring small design teams.
• Strong understanding of Austroads, TMR specifications and relevant industry standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and road design activities, including advanced 12d modelling, on major transport and infrastructure projects.
• Deliver high-quality design solutions aligned with Austroads, TMR and industry standards.
• Mentor and develop designers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration across project teams.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers and clients to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of significant road, highway, and civil infrastructure projects throughout Queensland.]
