Job summary

Marsh in Sydney is seeking a Managing Principal - Risk Management to lead complex client portfolios, deliver tailored risk and insurance advice, and drive new business activities. The role requires steering senior stakeholders and coaching a team of risk professionals in a hybrid Sydney office.

You will build strategic client relationships, assess exposures, and stay up to date with market and regulatory changes, contributing to Marsh's market profile through client engagement.

Qualifications

• More than 10 years' experience in commercial insurance or risk management.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of key insurance classes such as Industrial Special Risks and General Liability.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to work confidently with senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with major clients across a complex portfolio
• Assess client businesses, risk exposures, insurance needs and loss histories to inform suitable solutions
• Lead business development activity and contribute to new business opportunities
• Provide strategic risk advice to senior client stakeholders and support complex claims with claims specialists
• Manage, coach and support a team of risk professionals
• Maintain accurate client and compliance records, while staying across market and legislative changes
