Role Description

The Senior Restoration Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Torquay, VIC. This role is responsible for leading and performing restoration work related to fire, structural, and water damage, including assessment, mitigation, and repair tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting damaged properties, coordinating and executing water extraction and drying processes, supervising site cleanup, and supporting structural stabilization efforts. The Senior Restoration Technician will guide junior team members, maintain detailed job documentation, communicate effectively with clients and insurers, and ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in water-related restoration, including Water Damage and Water Damage Restoration skills.
• Experience with mitigation practices, including damage assessment, Mitigation planning, and implementation.
• Ability to address environmental and contamination issues, including work involving Invasive Species management when required.
• Excellent Communication skills with clients, team members, and stakeholders, including clear reporting and documentation.
• Prior experience as a restoration technician or in a related trade (e.g., construction, remediation, building maintenance).
• Knowledge of safety regulations, use of restoration equipment, and adherence to industry standards.
• Ability to work on-site in varying conditions, manage physical tasks, and respond to after-hours or emergency jobs as needed.
• Relevant certifications in restoration, water damage, or occupational health and safety are highly regarded.
