Job summary

Arise Restoration Group (ARG) is seeking a Restoration Technician to join our Melbourne team. You’ll support on-site responses to water, fire, mould and related damage, conduct site assessments and operate restoration equipment to bring homes back to normal.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Attend restoration jobs and assist with site assessments.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying and dehumidification.
• Assist with fire, smoke and mould remediation.
• Set up, monitor and operate restoration equipment.
• Document job progress and reports using phone or iPad.

About the Role

You'll help restore properties affected by water, fire, smoke, mould and other unexpected damage, supporting customers as they get their homes and properties back to normal. Your responsibilities will include:

• Attending restoration jobs and assisting with site assessments
• Performing water extraction, structural drying and dehumidification
• Assisting with fire, smoke and mould remediation
• Setting up, monitoring and operating restoration equipment
• Supporting property repairs and restoration works
• Documenting job progress and completing reports using a phone or iPad
• Communicating professionally with customers, project managers and team members
• Following workplace health and safety procedures

What We're Looking For

We're open to candidates at different stages of their careers. You might already have restoration experience, or you may have a background in construction, cleaning, maintenance or a similar hands-on role and be ready to learn something new. Ideally, you'll bring:

• Some experience in restoration, construction, cleaning, maintenance or property services — or a genuine willingness to learn
• A practical, hands-on approach and a strong work ethic
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude with customers
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Computer skills and confidence using a phone and iPad
• A current, valid driver's licence
• The physical fitness required for hands-on work

Previous experience in water damage restoration, fire and smoke remediation or mould treatment will be highly regarded. IICRC WRT certification and other relevant qualifications are advantageous, but we're happy to consider candidates who are keen to develop their skills.
