Job summary

Westgold Resources Limited is seeking a Geology professional to lead site resource modelling and grade control, delivering timely models to support mining operations and optimise ore recovery. You will mentor geologists, coordinate data validation, provide geological input for short- and long-term mine planning, and oversee drilling data QA/QC while maintaining safety and site standards.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in Geology or equivalent.
• Knowledge of WHS Mines Regulations 2022.
• C Class Manual driver's license.
• Membership of AIG or AusIMM.
• Experience with Surpac, Leapfrog and MS Office; Supervisor exposure.
• Understanding of mining cycle from exploration to processing.

Responsibilities

• Lead grade control modelling, estimation and resource reporting.
• Maintain and improve resource and grade control models.
• Provide geological input to mine planning.
• Oversee drilling data validation, QAQC and resource DB integrity.
• Coordinate Mineral Resource updates and reporting schedules.
• Mentor geologists and technical staff.
• Deliver technical advice to optimise ore recovery and minimise dilution.
• Promote safety culture and site procedures.
