Job summary

Gold Fields Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Resource Geologist to join the Group Technical Geology Resource team at our Perth office. You will generate, maintain and review mineral inventory and Mineral Resource models and manage geological data and QA/QC systems.

This permanent role offers a Monday–Friday or 9-day fortnight roster with monthly 4-day site visits, and options for full-time, part-time or job share arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology or related discipline with strong mathematical and statistical emphasis.
• Minimum 5 years in combined Mine, Exploration or Project Geology plus at least 5 years as a Resource Geologist in gold mining/exploration.
• Proven geological interpretation skills for resource estimation.
• Experience with Ordinary Kriging and estimation quality optimisation.
• Experience with linear estimation, recoverable estimation and simulation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mineral inventory and Mineral Resource models.
• Manage geological data and QA/QC systems.
• Ensure reporting within SAMREC, JORC and SOX standards.
• Audit and review mine and exploration models in peer reviews.
• Support model reconciliation and analysis of estimation changes.
