Job summary

Freshwater Group is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to grow the Commercial Renewables division across NSW and Victoria, targeting large commercial solar and BESS projects for energy solutions.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will build a multi-million-dollar pipeline, forge strategic partnerships, and lead deals through to close, collaborating with engineering and estimating teams. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven track record selling commercial energy projects (solar & BESS) above 100 kW.
• Strong track record achieving/exceeding sales targets and leveraging NSW/VIC relationships.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to boards, executives, and engineers.
• Experience building your own pipeline through proactive prospecting.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities through relationship building, opportunity identification, and closing deals for large commercial solar and BESS.
• Develop opportunities within existing customers and installed base.
• Develop and enhance strategic partnerships across consultants, brokers, retailers, electrical contractors, property groups, and other channel partners.
• Manage the complete sales process from initial engagement to commercial close.
• Work with engineering to develop solutions, pricing, ROI modelling, and proposals.
• Present to and negotiate with business owners, executives, Board members, and technical stakeholders.
• Travel intrastate and interstate as opportunities require.
