Job summary

Optus is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist, T2 RAN Ops, to ensure optimal performance and availability of the RAN network and support VSAT backhaul in satellite sites. The role involves hands-on operational support, governance of suppliers, and collaboration with internal engineering teams to implement network strategies.

The successful candidate will bring 10+ years in Mobile/Mobile-Satellite, strong knowledge of VSAT/RF/IP, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills to drive

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Mobile/Mobile-Satellite with VSAT, IP, RF and cellular backhaul.
• Advanced understanding of VSAT, RF, IP and 3G/4G cellular systems.
• Strong troubleshooting across subsystems delivering end-to-end VSAT and Mobile backhaul services.
• ITIL framework compliance and vendor/customer management experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical operational processes and maintain network availability.
• Respond to incidents escalated by Managed Services.
• Support Problem Management with root cause analysis.
• Plan and execute network changes, expansions, and upgrades.
• Contribute to KPI/SLA reporting with operational input.
• Collaborate with Vendors and Managed Services to implement improvements.
• Contribute to tools strategy and automation initiatives.
• Share knowledge and train peers.
