Job summary

Laing O’Rourke is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Contracts Administrator to join our AUKUS team in Osborne, South Australia. You will manage budgets, cost planning and forecasting to support delivery of complex defence infrastructure programs.

Ideal candidates hold MRICS, have 7+ years post-graduate experience in quantity surveying within construction, and an engineering or construction management degree. Proficiency in Excel and security clearance to NV1 level is required.

Qualifications

• MRICS certification or working towards MRICS.
• 7+ years post graduate experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Construction Management, Building, Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency and strong technical/commercial capability.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost planning, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities to optimise project outcomes.
• Oversee change management, claims, extensions of time and commercial entitlements.
• Build and maintain strong client, stakeholder and supply chain relationships while guiding successful project delivery.

About you

• Attained or working towards obtaining MRICS.
• Minimum 7years’ post graduate experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Construction Management, Building, Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Microsoft software especially Excel.
• Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
