Job summary

Laing O’Rourke is delivering Australia’s largest defence infrastructure program from Osborne, SA. We require a Quality Assurance Manager to join the AUKUS team, leading QA across project delivery with ISO 9001 adherence and a focus on right-first-time outcomes.

You will work with engineering, construction and commissioning teams, developing quality plans, audits, and governance frameworks to support regulatory compliance and project handover.

Qualifications

• Degree required in engineering/related field.
• Extensive experience in quality assurance and project governance.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and QA frameworks.
• Proven leadership in major infrastructure or defence projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Project Quality Management Plan.
• Establish and maintain project quality systems, processes and controls to ensure compliance.
• Review client specifications to ensure all assurance obligations are defined and met.
• Provide quality leadership to project teams and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Develop and monitor project quality objectives and KPIs to drive outcomes.
• Lead audit and assurance activities, including internal and external assessments, and close findings.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement and commissioning to embed QA requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with client representatives, partners, regulators and certification bodies.
• Ensure quality records, documentation and evidence are maintained for compliance and handover.
