Job summary

RP Infrastructure in Adelaide is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to deliver pre-contract and post-contract cost management services for projects ranging from $3m to $25m. You will provide clients with clear, practical cost advice across the property and building sectors.

You will prepare cost estimates, take-offs, bills of quantities, review tender submissions and assess progress claims to support procurement decisions and forecast final costs.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Quantity Surveying services across pre-contract and post-contract stages on building projects.
• Demonstrated experience interpreting drawings, specifications and changes in design.
• Sound understanding of building construction methods, construction costs, contractual payment and variation processes.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills with ability to explain recommendations to clients.
• Ability to prepare accurate cost reports and identify budget risks and implications.
• Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Construction Economics or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and cost plans, identifying allowances, exclusions and potential cost risks.
• Undertake detailed measurements and quantity take-offs, and prepare bills of quantities where required.
• Review tender submissions, compare pricing and make recommendations to support procurement decisions.
• Assess contractor progress claims and variations to assist the Project Manager's/Superintendent's contract management duties.
• Prepare cost reports, maintain variation registers and forecast anticipated final costs.
