Job summary

Acuity Australia is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join our Sydney team on major infrastructure projects. You will provide pre- and post-contract cost management, contract administration, and manage subcontract packages across the project lifecycle.

You should have a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, 5+ years of experience, and be proficient in cost planning, measurement, reporting, and Excel (CostX preferred). Right to work in Australia is assumed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline (AIQS or RICS accreditation preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying, cost management or contract administration on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Australian contracts (e.g. AS 4000, AS 2124, GC21 or similar).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review estimates, cost plans, budgets, cash flow forecasts and cost reports
• Measure and quantify to support estimates, tenders and valuations
• Provide contract administration including progress claims and variations
• Assess variations and maintain change and risk registers
• Manage subcontractor packages and final accounts
• Support procurement, tender documentation and evaluations
• Identify and report commercial risk and entitlement under contract
• Assist with extension of time, variation and compensation event claims
