Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead product and process quality initiatives within an energetic materials manufacturing environment. You will mentor engineers, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across manufacturing and inspection processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of quality engineering in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Deep knowledge of quality management systems, inspection methods, and statistics.
• Experience leading root-cause analysis and CAPA for complex issues.
• Strong written/verbal/presentation skills for technical/executive audiences.
• Able to lead projects and mentor in high-hazard manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and improvement of quality systems per ISO 9001/AS9100 and regulatory requirements (ATF, DoD, OSHA).
• Provide technical leadership to manufacturing operations, ensuring robust controls and acceptance criteria.
• Lead RCA and CAPA for complex nonconformances and customer complaints.
• Review and approve manufacturing procedures, inspection instructions, and quality records for energetics production.
• Lead internal and external audits and represent Quality at audits.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive CI initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across Engineering, Manufacturing, EHS, and Supply Chain.
• Lead supplier quality activities including supplier qualification and corrective actions.
• Coordinate failures investigations, MRB, and risk assessments and present findings.
