Davies Stewart is partnering with a global icon in scientific services, driven by a singular mission to enable customer success in vital manufacturing and environmental sectors. The role is located within the landscape of the western suburbs of Adelaide and serves as the technical quality anchor for the site.

Reporting to the Manager of Projects and Quality, you will not merely monitor compliance but actively shape the lifecycle performance of sophisticated product lines. This is a high-visibility position where your ability to integrate robust quality protocols into New Product Introductions (NPI) and process validations will directly contribute to global scientific advancement.

  • Global Strategic Connectivity: Access the resources, support, and best-practice frameworks of an undisputed global leader in science.
  • Professional Autonomy: Act as the primary technical quality authority, influencing cross-functional decisions across R&D, Engineering, and Operations.

  • Specialised Growth: Advance your expertise in a Band 6 position that offers complex technical challenges and a clear pathway for professional development.
The Role: Orchestrating Process and Product Integrity

This position requires a methodical professional to navigate the complexities of a sophisticated Quality Management System (QMS) while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Spearhead Quality Deployment: Lead the continuous improvement of the site QMS, ensuring total alignment with ISO 9001 and broader regulatory mandates.
  • Navigate Product Lifecycles: Direct quality activities for New Product Introductions (NPI), including First Article Inspections (FAI) and comprehensive process validations.
  • Orchestrate Risk Mitigation: Perform and maintain rigorous product and process risk analyses, utilising FMEA, DFMEA, and PFMEA frameworks.
  • Optimise Problem-Solving: Apply structured methodologies (8D, Root Cause Analysis) to investigate and resolve non-conformances, warranty claims, and Out of Box Failures (OOBF).
  • Facilitate Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with R&D and Engineering to ensure robust design transfers and the effective implementation of quality requirements.
  • Guide Supplier Standards: Provide technical expertise to resolve supplier-related quality issues and drive collaborative improvement initiatives.
About You: Technical Acumen and Leadership Mindset

You are an experienced Quality Engineer who balances analytical precision with the interpersonal skill required to engage and influence stakeholders across a multi-disciplinary organisation.

  • Methodological Mastery: Demonstrated proficiency in structured problem-solving (Lean tools, RCA) and a working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
  • Stakeholder Influence: The ability to communicate complex quality data clearly and drive alignment on critical quality decisions within cross-functional teams.
  • Disciplined Precision: A high attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing documentation, including control plans and ITPs.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with CE and ROHS compliance or experience in metal fabrication and assembly processes will be highly regarded.
