Job summary

Qantas is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to embed quality engineering across the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring reliability, performance and security of digital products. You will design and implement robust testing strategies, drive automation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality experiences for customers.

Joining our Brand-new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide, you’ll champion testing, contribute to CI/CD improvements and help scale testing

Qualifications

6+ years in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or Test Automation in Agile environments.
Experience designing and implementing automation in CI/CD.
Strong API testing and contract testing knowledge.
Experience with cross-browser testing tools and test case management.
Excellent collaboration with engineers, product owners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Define and own the quality engineering strategy and automation roadmap for your domain.
Design scalable automation frameworks and integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
Champion BDD and shift-left testing across squads.
Lead API test strategy for contracts and service boundaries.
Mentor engineers to uplift automation and testing capability.
Drive root cause analysis and improve processes across teams.
Establish test data, environment and observability strategies.
