Job summary

Gough Recruitment in Canberra is seeking an experienced Property Manager to own and manage a residential portfolio, delivering high service levels to landlords and tenants. You will oversee day-to-day management, maintain relationships with landlords and contractors, and ensure compliance with legislation.

You will drive lease renewals, inspections, arrears handling, and tenancy documentation while maintaining records and continuously improving client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Property Manager or Senior Property Manager.
• Strong knowledge of residential property management legislation.
• Current Certificate of Registration or Real Estate Licence.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing an established residential property portfolio from end to end.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, tenants and contractors.
• Coordinating lease renewals, rent reviews and routine inspections.
• Managing maintenance requests, repairs and property compliance.
• Handling arrears, tenancy disputes and tribunal matters where required.
• Overseeing ingoing and outgoing inspections.
• Managing tenancy applications and lease documentation.
• Ensuring all properties are maintained to a high standard.
• Proactively identifying opportunities to improve client satisfaction and retention.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
