Job summary

Genus Infrastructure, a Perth-based subsidiary of GenusPlus Group, seeks an experienced Senior Project Planner / Scheduler to support major power, energy and infrastructure projects across WA. You will lead detailed schedules using Primavera P6 and integrate tenders with live delivery to drive on-time performance.

Collaborating with delivery, engineering and commercial teams, you will conduct critical-path analysis, forecasting and EOT support while mentoring junior planners and strengthening

Qualifications

• At least 10 years’ planning and scheduling experience across construction, power, energy or infrastructure projects.
• Advanced Primavera P6 capability is essential.
• Strong knowledge of MS Project and Excel.
• Proven experience developing and managing detailed programs within D&C environments.
• Sound understanding of construction sequencing, productivity, float, critical paths and project controls.
• Experience supporting tenders, delay analysis and EOT claims.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with operational leaders, clients and project stakeholders.
• A qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred.
• Electrical, transmission, distribution or utilities infrastructure experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Provide planning support across tenders, pre-contract activities and live project delivery.
• Conduct critical-path analysis, earned-value reporting and delay-impact assessments.
• Integrate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities into project programs.
• Monitor progress, identify schedule risks and provide clear forecasting and recovery strategies.
• Support EOT and delay claims through forensic analysis and structured reporting.
• Work with project teams to develop practical construction sequencing and methodologies.
• Mentor junior planners and help strengthen planning systems and processes across the business.
