Job summary

NSW Reconstruction Authority seeks an emerging leader for Senior Project Manager to oversee end-to-end infrastructure and disaster recovery projects across NSW, with a focus on grants management and timely delivery.

The role is based in Sydney with regional NSW options, offering a flexible/hybrid working environment and a strong emphasis on governance, budgeting, and stakeholder collaboration. Salary aligns with Clerk Grade 9/10 levels.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering / construction management or related field.
• Experience delivering end-to-end infrastructure projects.
• Experience with grants management is advantageous.

• Multiple opportunities available to deliver engineering and disaster recovery infrastructure projects!
• Ongoing FT - 35 hrs/week
• Role based in Sydney (regional NSW locations also available), with flexible/hybrid working environment.
• Clerk Grade 9/10; Salary relative to experience ($133,348 to $146,945 + super)

About The Role

We are seeking an emerging leader to manage high-priority, complex client-side projects that help communities recover, rebuild, and prepare for the future. As the Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end infrastructure and disaster recovery project planning, budgeting, and execution across multiple high-value initiatives to deliver timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes. As part of you project leadership, you will leverage your expertise in grants management to support these critical infrastructure projects.

• Lead the planning, resourcing, and execution of complex projects against time, cost, quality, and governance benchmarks.
• Build productive relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and strategic advice.
• Monitor risks, quality standards, and benefits realization to ensure successful outcomes and continuous improvement.
• Guide project teams with a strong focus on compliance, milestone achievement, and evidence-based decision-making.

About You

You are a strategic thinker with a record of managing multiple complex projects in fast-paced environments while supporting and building capability in others. Skilled in end-to-end infrastructure project and grants management, you confidently engage diverse stakeholders and foster cross-team collaboration. Driven by continuous learning and process improvement, you approach every delivery with precision and high attention to detail.

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering / construction management or related fields and/or relevant knowledge and experience.
