We are seeking an Assistant Coordination Officer to provide project research support, analysis, reporting, and administrative support to ensure the successful delivery of local and regional initiatives. About The Role
  • Provide project and operational support, contributing to monitoring progress and ensuring milestones and deliverables align with project objectives.
  • Update and maintain project documentation, ensuring compliance with project management methodologies.
  • Conduct research and analysis on assigned project areas, interpreting operational policies and procedures to support informed decision‑making.
  • Assist in the preparation of project briefs and reports to support planning and execution.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address implementation challenges.
  • Support with the running of office, fleet and other business services functions such as procurement, storage and resource management
  • Support recovery operations in areas such as planning, logistics, operations, or intelligence
  • Provide administrative and secretariat support, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing relevant documents.
  • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, develop efficient work practices, and contribute to crisis response efforts in other local or regional areas when needed
  • Engage with community and various stakeholders to achieve project goals.
About You
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in project support, administration, Office and fleet managements or research, ideally within a government, emergency management, or community‑focused setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage documentation, reporting, and compliance with project guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and research skills to interpret policies, procedures, and project requirements.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide clear updates and support collaboration.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to contribute to team objectives and assist in crisis events as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • An ability and willingness to travel within NSW and support other operational roles during disasters, emergencies and other events, consistent with skills, background and personal circumstances.
  • Current unrestricted NSW drivers’ licence.
