  • Clerk Grade 5/6 Salary ($102,936 - $113,579 per annum) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

We are seeking an Assistant Coordination Officer to provide project research support, analysis, reporting, and administrative support to ensure the successful delivery of local and regional initiatives. About the Role

As an Assistant Coordination Officer, you will:

  • Provide project and operational support, contributing to monitoring progress and ensuring milestones and deliverables align with project objectives.
  • Update and maintain project documentation, ensuring compliance with project management methodologies.
  • Conduct research and analysis on assigned project areas, interpreting operational policies and procedures to support informed decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of project briefs and reports to support planning and execution.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address implementation challenges.
  • Support with the running of office, fleet and other business services functions such as procurement, storage and resource management
  • Support recovery operations in areas such as planning, logistics, operations, or intelligence
  • Provide administrative and secretariat support, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing relevant documents.
  • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, develop efficient work practices, and contribute to crisis response efforts in other local or regional areas when needed
  • Engage with community and various stakeholders to achieve project goals.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in project support, administration, Office and fleet managements or research, ideally within a government, emergency management, or community-focused setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage documentation, reporting, and compliance with project guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and research skills to interpret policies, procedures, and project requirements.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide clear updates and support collaboration.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to contribute to team objectives and assist in crisis events as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • An ability and willingness to travel within NSW and support other operational roles during disasters, emergencies and other events, consistent with skills, background and personal circumstances.
