Job summary

Rest, one of Australia’s largest profit‑to‑member super funds, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead a complex insurance initiative. You'll work across Technology, Digital, Information Security, Product, Procurement, Service Delivery and external partners to drive delivery from initiation through implementation.

You’ll ensure outcomes are on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards, while realising business benefits and fostering collaboration.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Technology, Project Management or related discipline with PM certification.
• Experience delivering complex projects/programmes in hybrid Agile and Waterfall environments, managing scope, budgets, schedules, governance and RAID.
• Experience delivering complex third-party vendor and commercial engagements.
• Demonstrated experience leading customer‑facing insurance transformation initiatives, ideally within claims.
• Strong track record delivering projects to agreed scope, budget, schedule, quality and benefits realisation outcomes.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams comprising internal SMEs, contractors, vendors and implementation partners.
• Strong financial and governance capability, including business case development, forecasting, dependency management, benefits tracking and executive reporting.
• Experience applying project delivery methodologies, governance frameworks and controls within enterprise environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and issue management skills, with the ability to manage complexity and delivery trade‑offs.
• Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across Technology, Information Security, business teams and external partners.
• Experience within superannuation, insurance, financial services or other highly regulated industries.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure and deliver to deadlines in fast‑paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic projects with governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts and financial reporting.
• Track and realise business benefits and ensure adoption into BAU.
• Build relationships with sponsors, vendors and delivery partners to align outcomes.
• Apply project governance frameworks with reporting and escalation management.
• Oversee external vendors and implementation partners to meet contractual obligations.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies.
• Mentor project team members and foster delivery excellence.
