Job summary

PCR Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects in Canberra and surrounding regions. You will serve as the central contact between client, engineering teams, consultants, contractors, councils and other authorities.

Role involves planning through procurement, construction and completion, with responsibilities spanning budgeting, schedules, risk management and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Strong project management experience across civil infrastructure.
• Experience delivering urban development, roads, highways, drainage or related projects.
• Good knowledge of project planning, procurement and contract administration.
• Experience working directly with councils and approval authorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A current Australian driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Managing civil infrastructure projects from initial planning through to completion.
• Delivering urban development, roads, highways and stormwater projects.
• Establishing project programs, budgets, scopes and delivery strategies.
• Coordinating design consultants, contractors and specialist subconsultants.
• Managing council, authority and stakeholder approvals.
• Preparing procurement documentation and assisting with tender processes.
• Administering contracts and monitoring contractor performance.
• Chairing client, consultant, contractor and site meetings.
• Monitoring project progress, costs, risks, quality and compliance.
• Undertaking site inspections and resolving construction-related issues.
• Preparing project reports, risk registers and progress updates.
• Identifying potential delays or commercial issues before they affect delivery.
• Maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Supporting fee proposals and identifying opportunities for further work.
