Job summary

Approach Consulting Pty is seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager. You will own projects from proposal through to completion, managing scope, program and budget while leading collaboration across the disciplines involved.

Day to day you will be the primary client contact, keeping them informed and building trust for repeat work. You will set and monitor project performance, identify risk early and act on it, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to keep delivery on track.

Qualifications

• Chartered status with CPEng preferred; track record leading multi-disciplinary teams.

The Company

Approach has been engaged by a well-regarded consultancy working across property and infrastructure to appoint a Senior Civil Project Manager. Operating on projects that shape the way communities live and grow, they bring together all elements of civil land development.

This is a senior, client-facing role with real accountability for how projects are delivered and how the client experiences that delivery. Please note this role is based in Canberra.

The Role

You will take ownership of projects from proposal through to completion, managing scope, program and budget while leading collaboration across the various disciplines involved. Day to day, you will be the primary point of contact for the client, keeping them informed, managing expectations and building the kind of trust that leads to repeat work.

Alongside delivery, you will set and monitor project performance, identify risk early and act on it, and coordinate cross-discipline teams to keep everyone moving in the same direction. This is a role for someone who can hold the commercial and the relationship side of a project at once.

What You Need

The expectation is that you will be a qualified civil engineer with strong project and design management experience, ideally gained within a consultancy across property, land development or infrastructure projects. You will be confident owning project financials, program and scope, and comfortable being the person the client relies on.

Besides the above, you'll ideally hold Chartered status with CPEng, along with a track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing scope and variations without losing sight of the objective, and delivering projects to their agreed time and cost.
