Job summary

ManpowerGroup in Canberra is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of building, construction and infrastructure projects that improve workplace facilities, safety and visitor experiences.

You will manage projects from start to finish, including planning, procurement, budgeting, contractor management, risk assessment and project delivery, ensuring safety, timeliness and compliance with government requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing building, construction, infrastructure or facilities projects.
• Strong project management, procurement and contract management skills.
• Experience managing budgets, timelines and project risks.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement.
• Experience working with contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage building, infrastructure and facilities projects through the full project lifecycle.
• Develop project plans, business cases, budgets and timelines.
• Lead procurement activities, including tenders and contractor engagement.
• Manage contracts and ensure compliance with government policies and regulations.
• Monitor project risks, budgets and project performance.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Provide expert advice on construction, asset improvement and facilities projects.
• Prepare reports, briefs and project documentation.
• Support continuous improvement, governance and project planning activities.
• Supervise and support members of the Building Projects team.
