Role Overview

This is a Senior Project Manager opportunity to lead delivery of a $30 million new build hospital in The Inner West.

The Project

You’ll take ownership of a $30M new build hospital project in The Inner West high-profile and technically complex, requiring strong leadership across:

• Design development

• Procurement

• Construction delivery

• Commercial management

• Stakeholder coordination (hospital/health environment stakeholders)

The Role

As Senior Project Manager, you’ll have overall responsibility for successful project delivery, including:

• Leading the project from preconstruction and procurement through to completion and handover

• Managing construction programme, budget, quality, and safety outcomes

• Leading and directing the project delivery team

• Managing the head contract and overseeing key contractual obligations

• Leading client, consultant, and stakeholder relationships

• Driving design development and resolving technical and buildability issues

• Overseeing procurement, subcontractor engagement, and major trade packages

• Monitoring project costs, forecasts, cash flow, variations, and commercial risk

• Chairing project, design, subcontractor, and stakeholder meetings

• Identifying programme and delivery risks early

• Ensuring accurate reporting to senior management and the client

• Maintaining high standards across safety, quality, and compliance

• Supporting, mentoring, and developing Project Managers, Contract Administrators, and site personnel

• Driving commissioning, completion, and final handover

What You’ll Need (Hospital Construction Only)

You must have demonstrated hospital construction experience (new build hospitals / clinical environments), including experience delivering these types of facilities through design development, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.

You’ll ideally have:

• Significant experience as a Senior Project Manager with a reputable commercial builder

• Demonstrated delivery experience on projects around $20M (or larger)

• Hospital construction experience only (essential)

• Strong knowledge of head contracts, subcontract management, and commercial construction

• Proven capability across design management, procurement, programming, and cost control

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and major subcontract packages

• Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify/manage project risk

• Excellent client/consultant/stakeholder management

• A collaborative but decisive leadership style

• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and successful project outcomes
