Job summary

Amida Group is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager to join their expanding team, overseeing SMP, Piping, and Civil projects near Maitland, NSW. The role is on-site five days a week, with career progression opportunities within a market-leading Tier 2 contractor.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in a similar role, strong planning, risk management, and client communication skills, plus a tertiary qualification in engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 5 years+ experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of Risk Management.
• A strong commercial acumen.
• Ability to work part of a team as well as autonomously.
• High level of organisation and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite & MS Project.
• Knowledge of planning software.
• Construction Safety Induction (white/blue) card.
• Driver Licence
• Ability to obtain a clear Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Assemble scope of works and request for tender documentation.
• Conduct site visits (remote and interstate sites).
• Conduct commercial, risk and profitability reviews.
• Design comprehensive project programmes and communicate to team.
• Project delivery from inception through to completion.
• Ensure construction programmes are followed & deliver on project quality to programme.
• Identify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when required.
• Manage project expenditure and cash flow.
• Management and achievement of external engineering design aspects of projects.
• Design management.
• Manage subcontractors on site.
• Manage and maintain HSEQ requirements on the project.
• Produce progress reports.
• Deliver and manage client expectations.
