Job summary

ReGenerate Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join our newly established Australian business. The role offers initial remote work with regular travel to client sites, leading diverse mechanical projects across energy and water sectors.

You will oversee scoping, design and commissioning, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and engaging directly with clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• A recognised mechanical engineering degree.
• At least 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical problem-solving ability.
• Proven project delivery, technical leadership or independent review experience.
• Sound commercial judgement and strong client communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and travel when projects require it.
• Hydro experience would be valuable, but it is not essential.

Responsibilities

The role

Hydro experience would be valuable, but it is not essential. We welcome transferable experience from oil and gas, petrochemical, process, heavy industrial, renewables or other complex mechanical environments.

In return, you will have the opportunity to work across genuinely interesting projects, influence technical and delivery decisions, and remain involved from early scoping through manufacture, installation and commissioning.

The role will initially be remote but requires travel to client sites on a regular basis and could be up to 2-3 weeks at a time, depending on the job.
