Job summary

ReGenerate Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join our newly established Australian business. The role offers initial remote work with regular travel to client sites, leading diverse mechanical projects across energy and water sectors.

You will oversee scoping, design and commissioning, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and engaging directly with clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• A recognised mechanical engineering degree.
• At least 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical problem-solving ability.
• Proven project delivery, technical leadership or independent review experience.
• Sound commercial judgement and strong client communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and travel when projects require it.
• Hydro experience would be valuable, but it is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Leading projects from scoping and concept design through to delivery and commissioning.
• Managing design, analysis, specifications and independent engineering reviews.
• Solving complex technical and practical engineering problems.
• Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and delegating work effectively.
• Managing programme, budget, technical risk, quality and safety requirements.
• Working with clients, suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors.
