ROUSSOS Recruitment, on behalf of a leading Australian engineering and infrastructure contractor, seeks a Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical to lead delivery on major projects.

You will manage the mechanical services package from planning through commissioning, coordinating with head contractor, consultants and subcontractors to meet programme, quality, safety and cost targets.

As a result, an opportunity exists for a Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical to join the team on a significantdevelopment project. This role offers exposure to a complex project environment, working alongside a highly regarded head contractor and experienced project team. It is ideally suited to an ambitious Project Engineer looking to progress their career or a Senior Project Engineer seeking their next challenge on a major project.

The Role

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will support the successful delivery of the mechanical services package from planning and procurement through to commissioning and handover.

Working closely with project management, site teams, consultants and subcontractors, you will play an important role in ensuring project objectives are achieved across programme, quality, safety and commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the planning and delivery of the mechanical services package
• Coordinating mechanical works with the head contractor, consultants and subcontractors
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Managing RFIs, variations, procurement activities and project documentation
• Assisting with subcontractor coordination and performance management
• Monitoring project programme, milestones, quality outcomes and costs
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and relevant industry standards

The Like Mind

You will be a motivated and technically capable Project Engineer with a background in mechanical engineering or building services and experience delivering projects within complex construction environments.

You will enjoy working collaboratively, possess strong organisational skills and have the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer
• A Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Building Services background
• Experience delivering major construction, defence, infrastructure or similarly complex projects
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong technical, coordination and project administration skills
• Experience working within a Tier 1 project environment will be highly regarded
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• A proactive approach and commitment to achieving successful project outcomes
