Heat and Control, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Brisbane to own technical direction of major capital equipment projects. You will guide teams, collaborate with customers, and ensure solutions meet specifications from concept to commissioning.

The role requires 10-15 years’ experience in food/manufacturing with hands-on 3D design (Inventor) and CAD proficiency, plus strong DFMs and stakeholder management. Occasional travel and cross-functional collaboration are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10-15 years' experience delivering engineered projects in food, dairy, FMCG or related manufacturing sectors.
• At least 6 years hands-on design experience with 3D modelling and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Experience with food processing equipment is highly desirable; strong analytical ability is essential.

Responsabilités

• Lead teams of 1-5 mechanical design engineers on specs, sizing and detailed requirements.
• Manage 3D equipment design using Autodesk Inventor.
• Oversee 2D drafting: layouts, P&ID, and process diagrams with AutoCAD.
• Review customer specs, commercial documents, and internal standards to define scope.
• Organise peer reviews and risk assessment; monitor drawing release schedules.
• Support fabrication and installation across manufacturing, service, and site visits.
