Job summary

CIP Constructions Group in Sydney is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead complex commercial/industrial projects, guiding design reviews, procurement, and construction delivery. You will manage work packages from design to handover, coordinating consultants and subcontractors while ensuring safety, quality, programme and commercial outcomes.

You’ll mentor engineers, drive project controls in Procore, monitor costs and variations, and report on progress to Project and Site Managers.

Qualifications

• Senior Project Engineer experience in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of design, procurement, delivery, quality and compliance.
• Experience with project controls, budgets, variations and contracts.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Join a growing New South Wales commercial builder as a Senior Project Engineer, leading complex project delivery, managing key work packages and mentoring engineers. Working with the Project and Site Managers, you’ll have a clear pathway into Project or Site Management.

You’ll oversee allocated work packages from design and procurement through construction and handover, driving safety, quality, programme and commercial outcomes while resolving technical issues and coordinating consultants and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and shop drawing assessments, coordinating consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Manage procurement and work packages, monitoring progress, safety, quality, budgets and schedules.
• Maintain project controls, reporting, compliance, QA records, registers, Procore and contracts.
• Monitor costs, variations and risks, taking action to keep delivery on track.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate O&M manuals, handover documents and project close-out.

About You

You’ll bring:

• Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer experience in commercial construction.
• Strong construction knowledge across design, procurement, delivery, quality and compliance.
• Experience with project controls, Procore, budgets, variations, risks and contracts.
• A proactive, accountable approach with experience supporting and mentoring teams.
• Leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Project planning, coordination, organisation and delivery.
• Problem-solving, relationship building and managing risks, priorities and deadlines.
