Job summary

Amida Recruitment is assisting a growing construction group in Sydney to recruit a Senior / Project Engineer. You will lead delivery of high-quality commercial projects, coordinating site activities, consultants, and subcontractors to meet drawings, specifications and timeframes.

The role requires a tertiary engineering-related qualification and 5–15+ years' project delivery experience, with knowledge of post-tension concrete and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similar.
• 5–15+ years' experience in construction project delivery.
• Experience with post-tension concrete structures.
• Knowledge of local council/regulatory requirements and standards.
• Strong project financial reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience coordinating with consultants and approvals.

Responsibilities

• Project Delivery & Site Coordination Planning, coordination and execution of construction works
• Managing subcontractors, suppliers and consultants on site
• Monitoring construction programs, procurement schedules and project milestones
• Reviewing construction drawings, shop drawings and technical documentation
• Resolving technical issues and contributing to value engineering initiatives
• Quality, Safety & Compliance Overseeing quality control across site activities
• Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and statutory requirements
• Supporting site safety systems, inspections and reporting
• Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination Supporting project reporting, progress claims and cost tracking
• Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Assisting the Project Manager/Project Director with day-to-day project administration as required

Our client is a growing and leading construction group delivering high-quality commercial projects and have an expanding pipeline across NSW. They are seeking a driven and capable Senior / Project Engineer to join its growing construction team.

Current projects are of a structural refurbishment and partial new build nature in commercial sectors and having experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 would be ideal. Having delivered concrete structures as well as mechanical services would be ideal on projects up to $50m+. Having experience managing consultants and approvals as well as a design management skillset would be helpful.

You will be responsible for the daily delivery of high quality and on-time construction projects, ensuring that the projects are completed to documented drawings, specifications and nominated timeframes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Strong project financial reporting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
