Job summary

Macquarie Data Centres is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead delivery of mission-critical data centre infrastructure. You will own a portfolio of capital programs from design through commissioning, coordinating with hyperscale customers, executives and partners to ensure safety, on-time delivery and quality.

You will shape the PMO, governance and reporting frameworks to support growth and operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering major data centre, critical infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.
• Senior program or project management experience across large capital investment portfolios.
• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management, scheduling and stage-gate delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing project commercials including budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
• Contract negotiation and supplier management experience.
• Knowledge of mission-critical infrastructure including power, cooling, MEP systems and commissioning.
• Experience working with enterprise, wholesale or hyperscale customers.
• Knowledge of standards such as Uptime Institute Tier Standards, TIA-942 (highly regarded).
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent Project Management certification (desirable).
• Proven leadership capability with the ability to coach, mentor and build high-performing project teams.
• Outstanding communication and executive stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of major capital infrastructure projects from concept to commissioning.
• Own portfolio management and PMO governance improvements.
• Collaborate with hyperscale customers, executives, consultants and delivery partners.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Shape and mature PMO, governance and reporting frameworks.
