Job summary

Gough Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Melbourne team, delivering technically complex Data Centre projects across Australia, with a collaborative environment and exposure to senior leadership.

You will oversee planning, design and delivery from early design through construction, commissioning and handover, with preference for candidates from Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Architecture backgrounds and experience in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Ideally Data Centre project experience.
• Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or complex Healthcare experience will also be considered.
• Strong understanding of technically complex MEP/services-heavy projects.
• Experience working as a Project Manager within a consultancy, contractor, developer or client-side environment.
• Strong design management and consultant coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability.
• Ability to manage projects through multiple stages of the project lifecycle.
• Work on major Data Centre projects in a rapidly growing sector.
• Strong pipeline of technically complex projects.
• Exposure to leading clients, consultants and contractors.

A well-established and growing Project Management Consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering technically complex projects across Australia.

With an expanding pipeline of major Data Centre projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their Melbourne team. The business offers a collaborative environment, direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to work with high-profile clients across some of the most technically challenging projects in the market.

About the Role:

As Project Manager, you will work across the planning, design and delivery of Data Centre projects, managing projects from the early design and procurement stages through construction, commissioning and handover.

Given the highly technical nature of the projects, the role would particularly suit someone who comes from a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background and has transitioned into Project Management.

Candidates with an Architectural background and strong Data Centre experience will also be considered, alongside Project Managers coming from similarly complex environments such as Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or major Healthcare projects.
