Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Project Cost Manager to support the development and management of the project financial strategy. You will work directly with the project management team to manage budgets, costs, change orders, pricing requests, billings, and forecasts.

You will generate and maintain reports, identify variances and risks, and uphold quality control processes to improve cost procedures in alignment with management strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management, or related degree.
• 5-10 years of Project Cost experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Working knowledge of PMWeb, DataServ, Excel, JD Edwards, or related software.

Responsibilities

• Work with all project disciplines to understand total project cost budget allowances and targets.
• Review project documents to identify, develop and track change orders and potential risk exposures impacting cost targets.
• Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate billings, payment applications, and cost tracking.
• Coordinate with project management, executives, subcontractors, and clients to ensure cost transparency.
• Perform cost engineering, cost estimation, cost analysis, and control activities for complex projects.
• Ensure quality, accuracy, consistency, spend profile, and transparency in cost reports.
• Take ownership of the cost control function and ensure integrity of cost and forecast reporting.
