Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a senior Cost Manager to join the Project Management team. You will contribute to financial control on major building and infrastructure projects, analyzing budgets and guiding decision-making to optimize costs across client budgets, commitments, forecasts, and schedules.

You will lead the cost control team, develop and implement cost control processes, and collaborate with Construction, Procurement, and Contracts teams to deliver project value with disciplined cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of PMIS and budgeting processes.
• Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
• Basic scheduling knowledge, ideally Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise the cost control team on major projects.
• Develop, monitor, and communicate cost control processes.
• Oversee dashboards and identify budget optimization opportunities.
• Align cost forecasts with project schedules (Primavera P6).
• Lead proactive cost management: budgets, contingencies, and penalties.
• Collaborate with Construction, Procurement, and Contracts teams.
