Job summary

Core Talent is seeking an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller for a growing construction portfolio. You will lead financial management, project accounting and commercial reporting for major projects, acting as a business partner to senior project leadership and operations.

You will own month-end close, budgeting and forecasting, WIP and revenue recognition, and provide insights to drive project performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• Minimum 5–7 years' accounting and finance experience.
• Experience as Financial Controller or Finance Manager.
• Strong month-end close and management reporting experience.
• Budgets and forecasting experience.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial close and reporting deadlines.
• Coordinate collection and review of financial information from project teams.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for senior management.
• Review project P&L, balance sheet, and reconciliations.
• Investigate variances and provide commentary on performance vs budget.
• Own project accounting, WIP reporting and revenue recognition.
• Monitor project margins, cost movements and performance.
• Coordinate monthly forecasts with project leadership.
• Provide financial guidance to project and operational teams.
• Engage with senior project stakeholders in performance reviews.
