Job summary

Icon Group is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to lead delivery on a $40m Defence project in Bandiana, Victoria. You will work closely with the Project Manager and delivery team to coordinate design, consultants and documentation, keeping programmes on track and ensuring quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience in medium to large-scale construction projects, strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Project Coordinator or similar in construction.
• Experience on medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of project delivery and construction methodology.
• Proven ability to coordinate design teams, consultants and documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Defence or government project experience is highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design through construction on defence project.
• Manage documentation, drawings, RFIs, registers and approvals.
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support procurement and subcontractor engagement.
• Assist with programming, planning and tracking deliverables.
• Lead coordination across design and construction activities.

• Coordinate stakeholder requirements and project communications.
• Support site and project meetings, actions and reporting.
• Ensure quality and compliance of documentation and activities.

The Opportunity:

As Senior Project Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of our $40m Defence project in Bandiana.

Working closely with the Project Manager and broader delivery team, you’ll coordinate key project activities, consultants, subcontractors and documentation while helping drive programme, quality and project outcomes.

This role would suit an experienced Project Coordinator ready to take on greater responsibility, or an established Senior Project Coordinator looking to build their experience within the Defence sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate key aspects of project delivery from design through to construction
• Manage project documentation, drawings, RFIs, registers and approvals
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Support procurement and subcontractor engagement
• Assist with programming, planning and tracking project deliverablesLead coordination across design and construction activities
• Identify and proactively resolve project issues
• Coordinate stakeholder requirements and project communications
• Support site and project meetings, actions and reporting
• Ensure documentation and project activities meet quality and compliance requirements
• Work closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team to keep the project on track

About you:

• Previous experience as a Senior Project Coordinator or experienced Project Coordinator within construction
• Experience working on medium to large-scale construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction methodology and project delivery
• Experience coordinating design, consultants, subcontractors and project documentation
• Strong stakeholder and communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership of project deliverables
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Defence or government project experience highly regarded
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred
