Job summary

The University Centre for Rural Health in Lismore is seeking a Senior Program Project Officer (Targeted) for WellMob. This part-time, fixed-term role (0.6 FTE) runs until June 2028, with flexible location and regular travel to the region.

The position is targeted for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and is supported by a base salary of $117,133 pro rata plus 17% superannuation. You will lead training resources development and workforce initiatives, engaging stakeholders and

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent lived, community and professional experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, social sciences, education, social work, mental health or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander SEWB concepts and related health services.
• Experience developing, coordinating, or delivering training, education, workforce development or health promotion initiatives.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, timelines and deliverables.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with comfort using online platforms and digital technologies.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver workforce development initiatives that build capability in SEWB resources.
• Create culturally responsive learning resources and training materials for health and wellbeing professionals.
• Engage with stakeholders to identify workforce needs and develop solutions.
• Coordinate projects and activities, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Promote training opportunities and contribute to stakeholder engagement across platforms.
• Support research and evaluation activities to inform continuous improvement.
• Foster partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and culturally safe team environment.
