Job summary

The University of Sydney invites applications for a Senior Program Project Officer (Targeted) in Lismore. This part-time, fixed-term role focuses on leading training resources and workforce development to empower frontline workers in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing.

Based flexibly with regular travel to the University Centre for Rural Health in Lismore, you will coordinate projects, engage stakeholders, and foster culturally safe team environments while delivering

Qualifications

• Experience designing, coordinating, or delivering training and workforce development initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) concepts for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; proficient with online platforms and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver workforce development initiatives that build capability in SEWB resources.
• Create culturally responsive learning resources and training materials for health and wellbeing professionals.
• Engage with stakeholders to identify workforce needs and develop practical solutions.
• Coordinate projects and activities, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Promote training opportunities and support stakeholder engagement across platforms.
• Support research and evaluation activities to inform continuous improvement.
• Foster partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and health services.
