Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a Project Officer for Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing based in St Leonards to drive strategic initiatives. The role will coordinate with the Agency for Clinical Innovation, local health districts and Aboriginal Community Controlled organisations to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal people across NSW.

A strong emphasis on collaboration and stakeholder engagement is essential. This permanent position requires Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander identification and offers

Qualifications

• Must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated industry experience.
• Ability to provide expert advice which is strategic and adds value to statewide projects.
• High level community development skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Promote, develop and implement strategic change management initiatives to improve Aboriginal health services across NSW.
• Support better integration of care across sectors and collaborate with networks, districts and stakeholders.
• Provide high level advice to senior committees and task forces and support decision making across the state.
