Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a Queensland Government department to recruit an experienced AO6 Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer based in South Brisbane. The role involves leading end-to-end procurement, developing sourcing strategies and advising internal stakeholders within a collaborative procurement team.

Key focus areas include tender evaluations, contract negotiation, and ensuring compliance with government policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, sourcing and contract management, preferably in government or public sector.
• Strong knowledge of procurement frameworks, tendering processes and contract negotiation.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and competing priorities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience developing procurement documentation and managing tender evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation and contract negotiation.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver value for money and positive business outcomes.
• Manage procurement projects across a variety of goods and services categories.
• Provide procurement advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Support contract development, supplier management and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with Queensland Government procurement policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and commercial outcomes.
