Job summary

Randstad partners with a prominent government organisation in Queensland to recruit an experienced Procurement Specialist. You will develop and implement procurement strategies within probity and governance frameworks to maximise value.

You will lead tender processes, manage RFIs, draft documentation, and coordinate contract negotiations with legal input as needed. You will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in government procurement and contracting frameworks.
• Ability to research and evaluate alternative delivery methods.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities from planning through contract formation across categories for medium to high-value contracts.
• Partner with stakeholders to optimise procurement delivery within frameworks.
• Develop procurement documentation, take to market, respond to RFIs, chair tender moderation meetings, and prepare award recommendations.
• Coordinate the development, negotiation, and finalisation of contracts, engaging specialist advice as needed.
• Develop KPIs and quality assurance assessments for contracts.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure procurement processes meet current and future needs.
• Provide training and guidance to internal officers in procurement activities.
