Job summary

• Ensure procurement activities meet policy, probity and recordkeeping requirements.

About the opportunityAllstaff Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Officer for a full time contract assignment with a Queensland Government agency. Based in Brisbane CBD, you will manage strategic procurement projects and high value contracts, providing commercial advice and supporting effective service delivery. The assignment offers an ASAP start, subject to security screening, through to 30 June 2027, with potential extensions totalling up to an additional 12 months at the agency’s discretion.

About the roleReporting to the Business Manager, you will:

• Manage procurement activities from planning and market approach through to evaluation, negotiation and contract implementation.
• Provide practical advice on sourcing strategies, contract terms, governance, supplier performance and risk.
• Develop contract management plans and monitor supplier deliverables, performance and milestones.
• Manage contract variations, extensions, renewals and close out activities.
• Prepare and maintain procurement documentation, evaluation reports, contracts, briefings and approval records.
• Ensure procurement activities meet Queensland Government policy, probity and recordkeeping requirements.
• Build productive relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issues and achieve value for money.

About youYou will have demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management, supported by strong commercial judgement, analytical skills and attention to detail.

You will also bring:

• Experience managing procurement projects and contracts across their full lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Queensland Government procurement policy and contract management requirements.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to assess submissions, interpret contract terms and provide clear recommendations.
• Experience using SAP and knowledge of supply chain methodology.

Queensland Government Level 3 Procurement Certification, or an equivalent qualification, is highly desirable.
