Job summary

Corrections Victoria Community Corrections – Melbourne VIC seeks a Principal Practitioner to oversee staff and case management for prisoners on parole and post-sentence supervision. The fixed-term, full-time role is based in the Brimbank Melton region and reports to the CCS Regional General Manager.

You will advise on risk escalation, incident management and quality assurance, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience and knowledge in case management of complex/high-risk individuals.
• Experience in risk management initiatives and therapeutic work with high-risk individuals.
• Knowledge of working within a legislative framework.
• Excellent written communication for reports and submissions on high-profile cases.
• Strong leadership: supervision, training and mentoring staff.
• Valid driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on risk escalation, incident management and QA practices.
• Consult with internal and external stakeholders to support case management.
• Oversee staff and case management across a regional service stream of prisoners on parole and post-sentence supervision.
