Job summary

Corrections Victoria, Department of Justice and Community Safety, seeks a Principal Practitioner based in the Brimbank Melton region on a fixed-term basis to 5 July 2027. You will oversee staff and case management for parolees and post-sentence supervision, focusing on high-risk and complex cases.

Reporting to the Regional General Manager, you will provide expert advice on risk escalation, incident management and QA, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in the after-hours Duty Director

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in case management of complex/high-risk individuals.
• Experience in risk management initiatives and therapeutic work with high-risk individuals.
• Knowledge within a legislative framework.
• Excellent written communication, including reports and submissions.
• Leadership with supervision, training and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff and case management practices across a service stream.
• Provide advice on risk escalation behaviours, incident management and QA practices.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in the on-call after-hours Duty Director system.
