Job summary

Corrections Victoria—Community Correctional Services (CCS) East—based in Ringwood, is seeking a Principal Practitioner to oversee staff and case management for prisoners on parole and post-sentence supervision. You will provide expert advice on risk escalation, incident management and quality assurance, working with internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Regional General Manager, CCS East, you will lead, train and mentor staff while developing strong partnerships, preparing reports

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in case management of complex and/or high-risk individuals.
• Experience in best-practice risk management initiatives and therapeutic work with high-risk individuals.
• Knowledge and experience working within a legislative framework.
• Excellent written communication skills including reports, briefs and submissions on high-profile cases.
• Strong leadership capabilities including staff supervision, training and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of staff and case management across a service stream of prisoners on parole, including high-risk cases.
• Offer advice and consultation on risk escalation, incident management and quality assurance practices and processes; engage with internal and external stakeholders.
