Job summary

Corrections Victoria is seeking a Principal Practitioner to oversee staff and case management for prisoners on parole and individuals under post-sentence supervision. You will report to the CCS Regional General Manager and lead a regional service stream, ensuring risk management and high-quality case handling across complex cohorts.

The role requires senior leadership, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in case management of complex/high-risk individuals.
• Experience with risk management initiatives and therapeutic work with high-risk individuals.
• Knowledge of relevant legislative framework.
• Excellent written communication for reports, briefs, and submissions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff and case management across a service stream of prisoners on parole and post-sentence supervision.
• Provide advice on identified risk escalation behaviours and incident management, plus quality assurance processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders; participate in the on-call Duty Director system.
