Job summary

Egis Group in Brisbane seeks a skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our growing team. You will work in a consulting environment on power system studies across the full project lifecycle from modelling to commissioning.

You will perform load flow, fault level and arc flash analysis, develop models in ETAP/SKM PTW, contribute to HV/MV design and protection interfaces, and collaborate with electrical, automation and project teams to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in power systems engineering within industrial, utilities or consulting.
• Experience performing load flow, fault level and arc flash analysis.
• Hands-on use of ETAP, SKM PTW or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and their application in design.
• Ability to deliver to scope, deadlines and quality requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform power system modelling and analysis for projects.
• Develop models using ETAP or SKM PTW.
• Conduct protection coordination studies.
• Contribute to HV/MV power system design.
• Prepare technical reports and calculations.
• Support site commissioning and testing.
• Collaborate with electrical, automation and project teams.
