Job summary

Sirius Corporation in Sydney is seeking a Senior Power Platform Developer to join on a permanent basis. You will architect and build end-to-end Power Platform solutions, lead a small team, and deliver complex Canvas and Model-driven apps for a major government program.

The role is hybrid, with three days per week in the office around the Sydney CBD or Olympic Park area. A Baseline Security Clearance (Australian Citizens) is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on development experience in the M365 Power Platform ecosystem.
• Expert-level skills building scalable Canvas and Model-driven apps from scratch.
• Experience migrating Dynamics On-Premise to Dynamics 365 in the cloud; strong client-facing skills and government project exposure.
• Australian Baseline Security Clearance (or eligible) required.

Responsibilities

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Power Platform Developer to join the team on a permanent basis. You will be stepping directly into a massive program of work for a high-profile state government customer.

To be clear: this is not an ERP or Dynamics F&O position. We are looking for a pure, hands-on Power Platform expert who lives and breathes custom app development. You will be responsible for architecting solutions, leading a small development team, and getting your hands dirty building complex applications.

This role offers a hybrid working model (3 days per week in the office or on client site around the Sydney CBD or Olympic Park area).

What you will be doing

• Architecting, designing, and building end-to-end solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform suite.
• Getting heavily hands-on with the development of complex Canvas and Model-driven apps.
• Driving a major migration project moving systems from Dynamics On-Premise to Dynamics 365 in the cloud.
• Creating advanced workflows and automations using Power Automate.
• Configuring Dataverse, managing security models, and integrating Power Apps with external systems using premium connectors and APIs.
• Working closely with government stakeholders to capture complex business requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs.
• Mentoring junior developers and championing Agile/SDLC best practices (including DevOps/ADO).

What you bring to the table

• 6+ years of dedicated, hands-on development experience across the M365 Power Platform ecosystem (Power Apps, Power Automate, D365 CE, Dataverse).
• Expert-level skills in building scalable Canvas and Model-driven apps from scratch.
• Strong backend knowledge, including Azure SQL, SharePoint Online data migration, and REST API integrations.
• A highly consultative approach – you are comfortable running workshops, managing scope, and talking technical solutions with non-technical stakeholders.
• Previous experience leading development teams or mentoring junior tech resources is highly highly regarded.
• Please note: As this role involves working with a state government client, you must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Baseline Security Clearance (Australian Citizens).
